About Me
I am a maker, and artist. I love figuring out how to make things. I admire people who have mastered their craft, and I hope to be one of those people one day. I graduated with my BFA in Sculpture in 2015 from the University of North Texas.
As a sculptor by trade, I have recently expanded my practice into 2D works, embracing the expressive potential of intuitive art. My current body of work reflects this shift, with gouache and pen on watercolor paper serving as my favorite mediums. Occasionally, I incorporate pressed botanicals, adding texture and natural elements that deepen the connection between the artwork and the world around me.
When creating, I strive to empty my mind completely, allowing thoughts and preconceived ideas to flow away. This intentional mental stillness ensures that my work arises from pure intuition, free from the influence of deliberate planning. It is in this surrender that I find profound joy—the freedom to create without constraint or expectation, letting the artwork evolve organically and authentically.
I am so happy to finally be chasing my dream as a self-employed artist and maker. Thank you so very much for stopping by. ^-^
